WHO'S WHO

BEN DRESSEL (he/him): Ben is overjoyed to return to Phoenix Stage Company, and to be a part of this wonderful cast. Ben’s last performance at Phoenix was as Peter Pan in Neverland Christmas many years ago. Ben has recently performed as Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye Birdie at Seven Angles Theatre, his other stage credits include DollsHouse (Dr. Damien), Eurydice (The Father) at Fairfield University, Tick Tick Boom (Jonathan) at City Youth Theatre. More locally he had played Javert in Les Miserables, Jude in Let it Be, as well as Harry in Kinky Boots with the Landmark Community Theatre. Ben is a Junior at Post University and is studying Communications and Marketing. Ben would like to thank his director and his castmates for this amazing opportunity and a special thanks to his family of six for their constant support.
CASEY HALLOCK (he/him): Casey is thrilled to be a part of his first show at Phoenix Stage Company with the Bright Young Things! Casey is a recent graduate of the University of New Haven, graduating with a B.A. in Music and Sound Recording. Some of his past credits include “Something Rotten!” (Tom Snout) and “Three Sisters” (Tuzenbach), the latter of which granted him an Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship nomination from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. In his spare time, Casey enjoys collecting retro video game consoles, playing Pokémon, and bugging his lovely girlfriend, Emma. He would like to thank his mother for always believing in him, and his grandmother, for also always believing in him. In addition, he would like to thank his mountain-town high school for being small enough that he would always bag the lead
CHAD CELINI (he/him): Last seen at Phoenix for The Bright Young Things Miscast Cabaret earlier this year. Other stage credits include the University of New Haven Theater Department’s production of GODSPELL (Jesus). He would like to thank his family for all their support in his theatrical pursuits and the amazing people at Phoenix, as well as his amazingly talented castmates, that continue to make these cabarets possible. As well as a big thanks to Cav, Tasha, and Megan for never dulling his love of performing and bringing joy to his life
CAMERON MUNROE (he/him) is excited to be back behind the scenes at Phoenix running lights again! This is only his second show with Phoenix, but he hopes to be in many more! He thanks Killian and Paula for introducing him to this crazy kooky family, and his parents for being theater kids
CHRISTIAN WINTER (they/them) is a musician from Southbury, CT, and they are so glad to be a part of the Bright Young Things presenting Pocket Broadway. When not performing, they teach voice, guitar, and piano, as well as music directing community theater. Christian is very grateful to the Phoenix Stage Company, and in particular Paula and Katherine, for the opportunity to get on the theater stage again for the first time since before the pandemic! They would like to thank their family and their partner Caroline for all their love and support
DANIELA PEREZ (she/her) Daniela is excited to take a break from her master's program and join the Bright Young Things at Phoenix Stage Company. Lots of warm hugs and winning lottery numbers for the cast and crew of this production- the passion they have brought to this cabaret is immeasurable. She would especially like to thank Killian and Paula for magically compelling her into doing this show and her family back home for sending love across the ocean.
DESTINY WHITTEN (she/her) Destiny is thrilled to be a part of her second Cabaret with the Bright Young Things at The Phoenix Stage Company. Most recent credits include: Nine (Mama Maddelena/Maria) Connecticut Theater Company, Miscast with Bright Young Things, Rent (Mimi Marquez) White Rabbit Theater and Beautiful The Carol King Musical (Shirelles/Ensemble) Landmark Community Theater. Destiny would like to thank Paula, Ed, Al and Cam for helping put this show together. She appreciates all of those who have given her support throughout this process. She would like to send love to her castmates, their encouragement means the world to her. Thank you for all of the laughs and love
EMILY PARIS (she/her) is excited to be back with The Bright Young Things!  She is so happy to be able to keep performing with all these great people in such a welcoming space. You may have seen her flittering about as Peaseblossom, Greatest Adventurer in the World at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire and she hopes you enjoy joining us on the adventure that is Pocket Broadway
EMMA PARKER (she/her) Emma is thrilled to make her Phoenix Stage Company debut in Pocket Broadway! She is a current senior at the University of New Haven, studying towards her B.S. in Criminal Justice and Minor in Theater Arts. Some of her past credits include “Godspell”, and “Three Sisters” (Natasha). She is also the proud two-term president of Pineapple Johnny’s Improv Club. Emma would like to thank all members of the cast and crew for being so welcoming and supportive during her participation in her first community theater show. She would also like to thank her family, friends, and her boyfriend Casey for finally wearing a different shirt to rehearsals. Additionally, Go Bills
KATERINA LEVASSEUR (she/her) is excited to return to Phoenix Stage Company among such talent! Her past credits include (Janet) “The Rocky Horror Show,” (Sandy) "Grease," (Cell Block Girl) "Chicago," (Irene) "Radium Girls." Katerina is a full-time nanny, so she’s grateful to have theatre as a creative outlet! She’d like to thank her friends and family for always coming to her shows (despite not being theatre people themselves!) Lastly, a huge shoutout to Matt and Destiny, performing with you two always fills my heart with love
KATHERINE A. GRIFFIN (she/her) is a neuroqueer educator and theatre artist in CT. She is grateful to be back dancing, singing and act…ing with her favorite bunch of weirdos. For those of you following along at home, Katherine is still not singing “Life is a Highway.” Maybe next time. Beep beep
KILLIAN MEEHAN (he/him): Returns to Phoenix Stage with the Bright Young Things for his fourth cabaret! Select credits include (Noel) “Panto of the Opera” at Pantochino Productions, (Magistrate) “The Executioner’s Wife” at Pantochino Productions, (Bill) “Complete History of Theater ABRIDGED” at Phoenix Stage. He would like to thank his vocal coach, Paul Elkin, for making this all possible! And his Mom, Dad, and Dani for all the help and support.
MATTHEW BENSON (he/him): Matthew was a previous Cast Member for The Walt Disney Company. He is so excited to be returning to the theater with the Bright Young Things at Phoenix Stage! His previous credits include; It’s Our House Now! A Villain Cabaret (Performer), The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Eddie), Beauty and the Beast (Ensemble), Judith (U/S Howard, Max), A Chorus Line (Al), The Worker (Man), West Side Story (Snowboy), and A Chorus Line (Mike). He would like to thank his family and friends for his support on his acting journey. Insta:_matthew_benso
SYD SEBASTIAN (she/they): Syd is excited to come back to Phoenix Stage company after the Miscast Cabaret this past spring. Most of their performance credits come from the Renaissance Faire, most commonly seen as the Paulie Pester the jester. The Bright Young Things have worked so hard on this cabaret and she’s thankful to everyone who made this show happen
